Edward Dmytryk
Edward Dmytryk (4. septembar 1908 - 1. jul 1999) bio je američki filmski režiser ukrajinsko-kanadskog porijekla, najpoznatiji kao autor hvaljenih film noira 1940-ih, ali i kao žrtva makartističkih progona zbog kojih je kraće vrijeme završio u zatvoru. Dmytryk je 1951. godine bio zatvoren zato što je kao član tzv. Hollywoodske desetorice odbio svjedočiti pred kongresnim odborom o svojim i tuđim komunističkim uvjerenjima. Nakon što se predomislio i prokazao svoje kolege kao komunist, pušten je iz zatvora i izbrisan je sa crne liste, te je mogao nastaviti rad u Hollywood. Posljednje godine života je proveo predajući filmsku režiju na američkim univerzitetima.
