Alexander the Great (sh. Aleksandar Veliki) je američko-španski historijski film snimljen 1956. u režiji Roberta Rossena. Naslovni protagonist, čiji lik tumači Richard Burton je drevni makedonski kralj Aleksandar III. Radnja prati njegov odnos sa ocem Filipom II (koga tumači Fredric March), stupanje na prijestolje i pohod kojim je osvojio Perzijsko Carstvo. Alexander je snimljen na lokacijama u Španiji te se odlikovao spektakularnim rekonstrukcijama antičkih bitaka. Kritičari mu, međutim, nisu bili skloni, a prije svega zbog izbora Burtona za glavnu ulogu.
