Adventures of Captain Marvel (sh. Avanture Kapetana Marvela) je američki film u nastavcima snimljen u režiji Williama Whitneya i Johna Englisha i premijerno prikazan 1941. godine, poznat kao prvi igrani film o superherojima. Predstavlja adaptaciju stripova o Kapetanu Marvelu koje je od 1939. godine izdavala kuća Fawcett Comics, a producirao ju je studio Republic Pictures, poznat po nizu uspješnih B-serijala iz doba klasičnog Hollywooda. Protagonist, koga tumači Frank Coghlan Jr. je mladi radio-novinar Billy Batson koji za vrijeme jedne ekspedicije pronađe artefakt koji ga pretvara u maskiranog superheroja Kapetana Marvela (čiji lik tumači Tom Tyler). Radnja prikazuje kako se Batson/Marvel mora suprotstaviti Škorpionu, vođi kriminalaca koji artefakt nastoji pribaviti za svoje potrebe. Adventures of Captain Marvel se sastojao od 12 epizoda od po 20-ak minuta. Usprkos niskog budžeta, Adventures se isticao za tadašnje standarde uspješnim specijalnim efektima te je stekao popularnost.
