Jim Backus (n. , Ohio, SUA – d. , Los Angeles, California, SUA) a fost un actor american de film și televiziune. Printre cele mai faimoase roluri ale lui sunt: vocea din "Mr. Magoo", bogatul "Hubert Updike, III", din show-ul radio al lui Alan Young, soțul lui Joan Davis' (judecătoare) în serialul TV "I Married Joan", tatăl lui James Dean în Rebel fără cauză (1955) și "Thurston Howell, III" în sitcomul din 1960 "Gilligan's Island".
