Andreas Kaplan (dilahirkan pada 5 Oktober 1977) adalah seorang Profesor di Sekolah Perniagaan ESCP, mengkhusus dalam bidang transformasi digital, kecerdasan buatan, dan media sosial.[1][2] Kaplan dikenali sebagai salah seorang daripada ahli sains dunia yang paling banyak dirujuk dan dikagumi.[3] Dengan beberapa artikelnya yang berpengaruh dan 35 ribu petikan di Google Scholar,[4] Kaplan telah dikira sebagai antara pengarang perniagaan yang 50 teratas di dunia.[5]

Kehidupan

Kaplan membesar di Munich, Jerman. Ibunya bernama Anneliese Kaplan (tukang jahit) dan bapanya pula ialah Vincenc Kaplan (tukang kunci).[6]

Kaplan adalah Presiden di Sekolah Perniagaan ESCP, Sorbonne Alliance, Paris. Sebelum itu, dia bertindak sebagai Provos Sekolah yang bertanggung jawab ke atas kira-kira 6000 pelajar di enam kampus Eropah Sekolah tersebut (Berlin, London, Madrid, Paris, Turin, Warsaw). Sebelum berkhidmat di Sekolah Perniagaan ESCP, Kaplan memulakan kerjayanya di Sekolah Perniagaan dan Po Sains ESSEC, Paris.[7]

Kaplan adalah salah seorang pengasas Pusat Eropah untuk Persaingan Digital. Dia adalah ahli lembaga St George's House (Windsor Castle),[8] dan ahli kepada Lembaga Penasihat Pendidikan Eksekutif Universiti Kozminski.[9]


Pendidikan

Kaplan ialah pemegang Ijazah Sarjana Pentadbiran Awam dari École Nationale d'Administration, Sarjana Sains dari Sekolah Perniagaan ESCP, dan Ijazah Sarjana Muda Sains dari Universiti Ludwig Maximilian, Munich. Dia sempurnakan Habilitasinya di Sorbonne dan Ph.Dnya di Universiti Cologne dan HEC Paris.[10]
