Platanaceae

Platanaceae merupakan salah satu dari famili tumbuhan berbunga. Famili ini monotipik dan hanya terdapat genus Platanus yang mencakup dua belas spesies pohon tinggi.[1] Pohon-pohonnya tumbuh secara alami di daerah beriklim sedang dan subtropis di Belahan Bumi Utara. Pada semua spesies, bunganya tumbuh dalam kelompok bunga kecil yang lebat. Buahnya berbentuk buah kecil dengan rambut di dekat pangkalnya.
