Atheriniformes adalah ordo ikan bersirip kipas yang terdiri dari Ikan pelangi dan beberapa anggota lain yang kurang dikenal. Anggotanya ditemukan di seluruh dunia, baik di laut maupun air tawar daerah tropis atau sedang.[1]
