La glycine transaminase, jadis appelée glutamate-glyoxylate aminotransférase, est une transaminase qui catalyse la réaction :

glyoxylate + L-glutamate

\rightleftharpoons

glycine + α-cétoglutarate.

Cette enzyme intervient notamment chez les plantes au sein des peroxysomes dans le cadre de la photorespiration.
